Guwahati Arrival to Shillong (Approx. 100 km / 3 hrs)
Arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station where the representative of NEexplore NOW will receive the guests. Begin the journey with a visit to the sacred Kamakhya Temple, one of the most important Shakti Peeth temples in India located on Nilachal Hill overlooking the Brahmaputra River. After temple darshan continue the drive towards Meghalaya through the scenic hill road. Stop at the beautiful Umiam Lake, a large man-made reservoir surrounded by pine covered hills and one of the most photographed spots in Meghalaya. Guests can enjoy the lake view, relax and take photographs. Continue the drive to Shillong enjoying the cool climate and beautiful mountain landscapes. Arrive in Shillong and check-in to the hotel. Shillong to Cherrapunji Sightseeing (Approx. 60 km / 2 hrs)
Morning breakfast at the hotel. Start the scenic drive from Shillong to Cherrapunji, also known as Sohra, one of the wettest places on earth famous for its dramatic cliffs and waterfalls. Sightseeing during the journey includes: Visit Mawdok Valley View Point, a spectacular viewpoint overlooking a deep green valley surrounded by mountains. Continue to Wei Sawdong Falls, a stunning three-tier waterfall known for its turquoise blue pools. Explore Mawsmai Cave, a limestone cave featuring narrow passages and natural rock formations. Visit Arwah Cave, which contains ancient marine fossils embedded in the rocks. Continue to Seven Sisters Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India cascading from limestone cliffs. Visit the iconic Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India with a breathtaking viewpoint overlooking a deep gorge. End the day with sunset view from the Cherrapunji sunset viewpoint. Cherrapunji to Puntung via Living Root Bridge & Mawlynnong
Morning breakfast at the hotel. Drive towards the Mawkyrnot region to visit the World’s Longest Living Root Bridge, a unique natural bridge formed by guiding the aerial roots of rubber trees across rivers over many decades. A local guide will assist during the trekking route to the bridge and explain the traditional techniques used by local tribes to create these living bridges. After exploring the root bridge continue the drive to Mawlynnong Village, popularly known as the cleanest village in Asia. Walk through the beautifully maintained bamboo pathways and explore the village surroundings. Visit the bamboo sky-walk viewpoint offering scenic views of the Bangladesh plains. Picnic lunch can be arranged at a scenic natural location. Continue the drive to the peaceful village of Puntung surrounded by forests and countryside landscapes. Overnight Stay: Puntung
Dawki and Jaintia Hills Exploration
Morning breakfast at the homestay. Drive to Dawki and Shnongpdeng village which is famous for the crystal clear waters of the Umngot River. Adventure activities available here include: Transparent river boating, Kayaking, Cliff jumping, Swimming in the crystal clear river. After spending time by the river continue to the Jaintia Hills region. Visit the stunning Krang Suri Falls, known for its turquoise colored natural pool. Shillong to Kaziranga (Approx. 270 km / 6 hrs)
Morning breakfast at hotel. Drive from Shillong towards Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage wildlife sanctuary famous for the endangered one-horned rhinoceros. En-route stop at Maha Mrityunjay Temple, home to one of the tallest Shiva statues in the world. Continue the drive through Assam countryside and tea garden landscapes. Kaziranga Safari Experience
Early morning Elephant Safari inside Kaziranga National Park. Opportunity to spot wildlife including one-horned rhinoceros, wild buffalo, swamp deer, elephants and many species of birds. Dirang to Guwahati
